Kim Kardashian’s latest beauty venture is proving to be a huge success. The reality star launched her KKW Fragrance on Wednesday morning with three different scents, Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Oud and Crystal Gardenia Citrus and has made a whooping $10million in just ONE day of selling worldwide. And guess what? No one knows what it smells like.
The scents are available online only so you can’t even have a whiff of it beforehand. You’re probably wondering why people would buy a fragrance without knowing what it smells like, well Hello!!! Kim Kardashian West made it duh!
Kim just put her name on the new fragrances, she was involved in every aspect of KKW Fragrance, from developing the scents to creating the packaging.
Only 100, 000 bottles each were produced and it is reported that Kim has no plans of restocking once they are sold out, which will most likely sell out before you can mention the names of all the men the Kardashians have dated, KIDDING, lol.
However, the $10 mil sales tab didn’t occur by accident. Kim launched a social media campaign to market the fragrance before she launched it and it clearly paid off.
When asked how she came about the idea for the fragrance, she said she got the inspiration from her Paris robbery, as she leaned on healing crystals to find peace in the aftermath of the robbery which explains the shape of the bottle. Talk about making lemonade out of sour lemons!
The gardenia scented fragrances are sold in two sizes 30ml ($35) and 75ml ($60) and comes in a frosted glass crystal packaging with tiny crystals in it.
KKW Fragrance has proved she is an enterprising woman, this is just one of her successful beauty ventures as she also has a makeup line, KKWBEAUTY, which is doing great as well.
