It’s just been a week since the squiggle brows became viral, but somehow there’s another trend taking over Instagram. It’s not so much of a big surprise though as the squiggle brows didn’t win many hearts.
However, the braided eyebrow is becoming a big trend, and guess what? It’s photo-shopped.
It all started with a young makeup artist named Eros Gonzalez who posted a photo with his brows admittedly edited to look as though they’d been braided. The talented MUA also admitted that he had tried braiding his actual eyebrows.
What the f*#%k are curvy brows? i only know braided brows! 😏 Follow me (@erosmua) for more! – Ps. This is totally a joke, Please dont take it seriously!!!! – The braid has been edited on since my brow hairs are not long enough to braid, believe me i tried 😂 – #anastasiabeverlyhills @anastasiabeverlyhills ebony dipbrow pomade #hudabeauty @hudabeauty rose gold palette #nubounsom @nubounsom russian black lashes #xoxobeautique @xoxobeautique ocean gray contacts #morphebrushes @morphebrushes e27, m433, m224 – – #morphebrushes#bretmansvanity#hudabeautymemes#undiscoveredmua#abhbrows#norvina#curvybrows
“I spent almost an hour using things like hair gel and spirit gum in an effort to braid my tiny brow hairs with no avail,” he told Allure. “Once I realized it wasn’t going to work, I decided to just edit the braid on.”
Just like most trends, this photo-shopped beauty idea has inspired others to recreate the look and the results are quite interesting.

This trend however, requires more than just good makeup skills, you should be able to use Photoshop as well, and have a lot of time on your hands.
