Everyone wants their perfume to last a long time on them. We all want to smell good so we must learn some hacks to keeping a longer lasting scent.
Heat, light, and humidity will break down the perfume and lessen the quality of the fragrance. Instead, store them in cool, dry spots like on the vanity in your room and away from windows.
How to use a perfume to make it last longer
-Oily complexions retain fragrances longer, so if you have dry skin, use a moisturizer first to help lock in the scent.
-Don’t dab the fragrance on your wrists after spraying. If you rub your wrists together, you’ll force the top notes to disappear faster than intended and as a result make your fragrance not last as long.
– Gently shake it by turning the bottle upside down. Do not shake vigorously because you will be breaking the molecules of the components, thereby destroying it.
-Spray directly to your skin at pulse points e.g inner wrist, inner elbow, between breasts, behind the ears, behind your knees.
-Spray into the air and walk into it, this makes the molecules stick to your body.
– Spray your perfumes on a moist body e.g immediately after a bath when you still have moisture or after applying your body cream. Perfumes stick better to a vaseline component so u can rub vaseline on your pulse points and spray on it.
-Use more than one layer of fragrance i.e it’s good to use a roll on and spray alongside.
Remember, to sample the true scent of the fragrance you’re testing, wait until it has dried on your skin before smelling. The first scent you smell as soon as a fragrance is sprayed is the top note, which disappears after a few minutes anyway.
