HOW TO SHRINK AND MINIMIZE YOUR PORES NATURALLY

Our pores are important as they help us eliminate sweat and excess oils. People with oily and combination skin however have bigger and more visible pores.

You can however make them smaller and less noticeable to the eyes. There are natural remedies to minimize and shrink your pores and they include:

Ice

Ice tightens the skin and shrinks pores. This remedy not only improves your skin’s appearance, but it also invigorates you. Rub ice against your skin for 10 to 20 seconds. To make it less messy, you can wrap a few cubes in a clean cloth and hold it against your skin. Do this a few times daily. Alternatively, you can wash your face with very cold water. Do this in the morning and evening, but don’t over-wash. More is not always better and too much washing can irritate the skin.

Water and baking soda

This is one good combination to make pores disappear.Mix in a cup 2 tbsp of water and baking soda each. Apply it to your face and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes.Rinse off with cool water. Its a great agent to tighten skin pores.

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

ACV is also a good pore minimizer. Apply this natural pH balancer and a potent anti-microbial and anti-bacterial remedy on your face. Always dilute ACV before using it on your face.

  1. Mix ACV and water in 1:1 ratio.
  2. Apply the solution on your face using a cotton ball.
  3. Leave for a few minutes and then rinse it off.

You can use this daily before bed time.  ACV is drying so use a gentle moisturizer afterwards.

Egg white and lemon juice
Take two egg whites and add a couple of drops of lemon juice in a cup. Make a thick paste of it and apply it to your face, mostly the affected areas. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse your face with cool water. The mask helps remove dead skin cells, extra oil and tightens skin pores.

Sugar lemon scrub

This is another home scrub that will exfoliate your skin, remove dirt and make your pores smaller.

  1. Mix two tablespoons of sugar and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  2. Apply it on your skin and gently massage for 20 to 30 seconds.
  3. Wash off with cool water.

Apply once or twice a week.
