Its not always that you see Ankara pieces and go wow, especially when its made in a country not too familiar with the Ankara print. On this day, we found one, made from gold, straight outta a mother’s love.
We present to you Malacia Anderson, owner and designer of LiLi Creations. Malacia has always been a creative person from the time she saw her mom make dresses while she and her siblings slept so they could wear them the next day. To her, that was the inspiration to learn how to sew.
According to her:
I learned how to sew when I was 10 years old through 4-H. My mother sewed and she would make dresses overnight for us to wear to school the next day. I wanted to be able to create the same magic that she did, for me. I have sewn for weddings, held fashions shows and etc over the years. Then I stopped sewing all together. I began crocheting and making clothes that way. That segued into Li Li’s Creations.
