Vogue magazine featured 13 women on the front-line fighting to put an end to climate change and poverty, Amongst the Climate Warriors as they were reffered to was Amina Mohammed The Nigerian Minister Of Environment.
Amina Mohammed who is also the special adviser on post-2015 development planning to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, told Vogue magazine.
“In Africa, you don’t just think about the children that you bear, every child is yours. Also climate change and poverty has come together as the perfect storm to create situations that have fueled Boko Haram, the terrorists that live in my part of the country. But, I think we’re getting nearer the light at the end of the tunnel”
United Nations holds an annual summit on climate change, called the Conference of the Parties, (COP21) and it began in Paris on Monday, November 30, 2015. Vogue Magazine is spotlighting the women involved in this year’s summit, including Amina Mohammed.
