Omoyemi Akerele is the Creative Director of Style House, a Style, Fashion and Image Consulting Company with years of experience in the fashion industry. She is an experienced self starter who pioneered the concept of Fashion Styling and Image Consulting in Nigeria. With a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Lagos and a Masters in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, Omoyemi worked as a lawyer at Olaniwun Ajayi & Co. a prestigious law firm in Lagos. Thereafter, she studied and qualified to be an Image Consultant at Aston-Hayes, a leading London Image Consulting Company. She is the Founder of Style House Files, an online fashion destination for fashion insiders, industry professionals and the savvy internet user.
Founded by Akerele in 2011, LFDW runs a four day schedule featuring a select list of talented up and coming designers and fashion entrepreneurs. Partnered with the British Fashion Council, the show has been instrumental in raising the profile of the Nigerian fashion industry, and has drawn international attention and acclaim from journalists such as Suzy Menkes and Cristina Manfredi, as well as attracting a host of international buyers.
